Just moved out
« on: October 07, 2021, 11:49:58 am »
I just moved out and, although I'm happy I'm moving on with my studying,I feel this big lump on my throat as well as a flood of tears because I emotionally miss them.
I know it might sound childish, but I really love my parents and adjusting (even though it's my first day) has been difficult without them.
It's a good thing I'm going next week for my birthday to see them...

I felt the same way in college - in fact, I lived at home for my freshman and sophomore years because I wanted to.

My partner was really close to his parents too.

It's a good thing. It shows you love them and they you.

I think that's perfectly normal, it's going to take time to adjust to not having them around every day. But you will make friends, grow and be fine.

When I left home at 16 I felt the same for a few weeks. It will be fine  :)

Yeah,I guess it's just how I am with them. Also,I'm quite scared of change in general 😂.
Once I start with lectures everything will be fine.

Yeah, I'm sure once you have had some time to settle into the situation you will be fine. Enjoy it.
