It's National Bike to Work Week
« on: May 13, 2008, 11:08:45 am »
That's right folks, park that car and ride your bike to work.  I usually take public transportation to work, but this week I am riding my bike and plan to continue unless inclement weather hits.  It's a great way to start the day, as a matter of fact I arrive all tingly inside.

Been using a bike to get everywhere in and around the city where I live in the last 3 years. Everything here is bike friendly. I don't know how I'll feel when I have to take a baby on the bike but everyone here does that too - often with 2-3 kids on one bike or in a little trailer attached - the bike version of SUV...

We had a contest at work for this and I won a plate and utensil set.  Now I don't have to dirty more paper and plastic at the office.  How exciting  :P

Couldn't really imagine travelling to work any other way. I loathe the London Underground so the journey being 'bike-able' was the premier consideration in taking up my current job. Never told my employer that though.. ;D
