I volunteered for my ASO today as we held a big BIG testing event today. Pavilion tents in the parking lots, red-ribbon signs up and down the street, give-aways, special gifts for people testing with a friend, pizza, drinks. We had a LOT of visitors from schools, some local businesses, from our facebook ads, and people who had seen the signs and wondered what was up. Nearly 40 people (preliminary guess) got tested. It was also clinic day, so I saw all sorts of old friends who I hadn't seen in a while. It was crazy for a while with all sorts of pozzies intermingling with all the testees. Then we got hit by a HUGE thunderstorm. The lightning sent a bunch of young girls and old queens screaming and running for the waiting room inside, while the rest of us got the tents down and tables inside just as the bottom dropped out of the clouds.

I've never seen the clinic so busy and so full of people. The staff  even had a training luncheon with a drug rep today, and afterwards I cleaned up the big closet of stuff in the conference room. And now a lot of people now know their status.

Sorta as our state employees are required, by a directive instituted by Gov. Nikki Haley, to answer their telephones, "It was a great day in South Carolina". ;)
