Risk from toothscraper in ear?

Hello everyone,

     Some time ago I was at band practice, and having an ear-plug stuck too far in my ear, I needed something to help get it out. A friend handed me his roommate's toothscraper--I know this sounds odd. I tried to be careful in getting it out, but I poked myself inside my ear; I don't know how hard: It didn't hurt, just a poking sensation, and I could not tell if it even broke the skin, left a bump, or drew blood. I didn't see any blood of the toothscraper nor could I find any inside my ear.
I don't when he had last used it, but I'm sure the scraper had blood on it at some point in time, due to it's nature as something one puts in his mouth and picks away.
All of a sudden I am having immense anxiety over this; however am I correct in assuming the risk of contracting something from this would be minimal at best?
I could not find a question quite like this one in the archives and I thought the situation was strange. Obviously someone's personal toothscraper is not something one would sterilize in case someone pokes themselves with it.
I hope this doesn't sound too paranoid. I'm genuinely concerned. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Mil, HIV is not an easy virus to transmit. Although theoretically it can happen in many different ways, in the real world it really opens in very limited ways, specifically through unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse and the sharing of needles for IV drug use.

The concern you have is completely unwarranted. But this epdemic is going to be around for a longtime to come. So it's important for you to know what the real risks are. Please read the lesson on transmission to which you can find a link in the first thread in this section.

This time out you don't have any cause for further concern. Period. End of story.
