Sex with a Transexual...
« on: November 20, 2008, 02:40:05 pm »
Had sex with a transexual. We both used condoms for oral. And she performed anal sex on me using a condom. The condom did not break and there was no slippage. She did cum and I did see the load in the condom. My concern arises from research on the internet. Some claim that the hiv virus is smaller than the poures of a latex condom and that condoms are less effective in preventing disease in anal sex than oral or vaginal sex. Do have anything to be concerned about? Am I at risk? My next concern is that the transexual wiped precum of the tip of her penis then fingered my ass hole. At the time I was not concerned because it was my understanding the hiv virus dies once it hits air, but from research on the internet some claim the virus can survive untill the point it dries up. So is it possible that the hiv virus remained alive in the pre cum and im at risk from being fingered in the ass hole while the finger had pre cum on it? Lastly its my understanding the virus can take up to 6 months to appear in a std test.....if its assumed I am low risk for having the hiv virus....is it ok to have unprotected sex with a long time partner who has been tested? I would get tested too but my concern is the virus may not have showed up on a std test yet and I may be putting my partner at risk. I hope all my worry comes from guilt and uncertainity as this was my first encounter with a transexual and the first time I participated in anal sex. I never worried this much with female partners. I have always practiced safe sex.

OK, bottom line I don't see anything to worry about in terms of HIV risk. You used condoms which is exactly what you're supposed to do. They provide very effective protection. All that stuff about virus somehow slipping through minute holes in condoms is totally nonsense.

Fingering with pre-cum, cum or whatever is not a risk. HIV is a fragile virus and I don't know of a single documented case EVER via fingering, no matter what details  you throw into the mix.

If you know for sure you were HIV negative previously and ditto for your longtime partner then I don't see any reason why you cannot have unprotected intercourse.

Remember that other STDs are easier to acquire than HIV, so if you're active outside of the relationship then it is a good idea to regularly have a full STD panel done -- at least annually.

As far as HIV is concerned I don't see any problem here.

Cheers.
