Hello All

I have a question that has been worrying me for a while now. A couple of months ago I was putting out the trash and was practically tearing down large boxes of cardboard in order to put them in the recycling bins.Then I started stuffing these into the bins. When I finished, I noticed a cut on my finger which was bleeding. It wasnt a large cut but definately wasnt small. Is there any chance that I may have gotten HIV from this incident? I dont know what I cut my hand with so I am assuming the worst. I dont know how much time has elapsed between me and te person who threw is trash before me. Plz advice.

Hi Ozzie . HIV is fragile and can not survive outside of the human body , its rendered unable to infect in an instant once exposed to air .

There is absolutely no way you can get HIV from a cardboard box , never in a million years .

I dont know if I was cut from the box or something in the bins. It could be a pin, a needle, anything..

It wouldn't matter for the reasons I already explained . HIV tainted blood on a pin would not survive the trip if a person with aids poked themselves and handed it to you , the same goes for a hypodermic syringe full of HIV infected blood ... it would only be viable if you were injecting right after a person with HIV was using it , and that didnt happen did it .

You can get on with living and put this behind you , you did not have a risk , period .

Hello Again

I visited a professional Dominatrix today and she gave me a good, sound face slapping. I had small zits on my cheeks which were not actively bleeding but I wouldnt say they were totally healed.

I am not sure if she had a cut on her hand or no...the slaps were really hard. Is it possible to get HIV that way?
