Anybody with any experience with COBRA in california?
« on: June 27, 2011, 07:53:05 pm »
I realize that this forum is not visited very often based on the number of old posts, but is anybody here with any knowledge of how COBRA works here in California? I have a few questions that I can't seem to get answers to...any information will be very helpful.

Thanks a lot!

What are your questions? I actually live in CA and might know the answer to you questions or certainly have the resources to find them. If I can help let me know what the questions are. Take care.

COBRA works the same in CA as anywhere else.  When you leave a job for whatever reason, the insurance company has to offer you the opportunity to elect COBRA coverage.  You can then have the coverage for 18 months, and you pay your premium directly to the insurance company.

You might be eligible to have CARE-HIPP pick up the cost of your COBRA policy.  Talk to a local ASO.
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth,
The minor fall, the major lift,
The baffled king composing Hallelujah!
