Upon seeing this, it has occurred to me that although the pres. talks to God all the time(so he says). It does NOT mean that God talks back. There is a difference. All I can think after how many years of "God Bless The USA" bumper stickers on the backs of SUV's, is would God, or any Omnipotent Being really lower themselves by messing around in something as sordid and disgraceful as politics? And more importantly, would said Being really support the wealthiest group of people on the planet? Encouraging them to kill in the mindless quest for more money and power? In our country, we have this privileged notion, reinforced from birth, that God loves us above all others. I find this laughable.
Would God really support an uneducated, greedy, avaricious slob like Bush? If this is truly the case, then I would NOT want to be stuck in heaven with Bush, Rove, Rice, and all of the others who make up the so-called religious faction in our country. For that would truly be Hell. Bush, Rove, Rummy the Dummy, and Gingrich, are without doubt some of the nastiest lying motherfuckers alive. They will say and do anything get their way, and our country continues to reward the mean spirited. I've said it before and I suppose that I will say it again. What is the difference between Bush and bin Laden? Maybe 1 or 2 degrees of separation at most. Both are willing to order others to die for their fucked up vision of a perfect world, both are wealthy scions to oil fortunes, and most importantly, both truly believe that they are put in their positions in life by God. Kind of a scary thought, no?
