Lab test for CD4

I need to do my second CD4 test, I was told when I did my first test to be fasting for 12 hrs, my question is " is it necessary to be fasting for CD4 test? thanks

No Hope. A CD4 test doesn't require you to fast before hand.

Perhaps your doctor wants to perform other test as well as a CD4 test? Some tests (like certain cholesterol tests) require fasting.

my doc has me fast but that is because other tests (CBC, glucose, etc) are being done...cd4 count wouldn't be impacted by whether you have eaten or not (would be cool if it went up from eating pizza and burgers - but no such luck)  :)
