« on: April 29, 2012, 12:39:20 pm »
Hi,

I think someone would have asked the same question but still i want to tell my situation and want to know am I in hiv risk.

1 week before i licked the breast of a hooker. I am not sure she lactated. In naked eyes i could not see any blood because of wounds around her breast. I dont whether i had any cuts in my mouth.Other than licking her breast nothing happened between us. I am compeletely scared after seeing in net that theoritically possible for hiv to transmit through breast sucking.
Please let me know am in hiv risk.

Thanks

The only risk for HIV transmission via breast sucking or licking from a lactating HIV+ woman is for an infant under 6 months of age. At that early age their immune system has not yet kicked in with its protective mechanism.

You as an adult are not in anyway at risk for HIV in a breast-sucking situation. You are worrying needlessly.

Sorry to bother you again.

I am still totally depressed. Today I got a white spot in upper gum and it is paining.

What i did was breast suck and nipple suck with a hooker. In naked eyes there was no bleeding of blood and milk around her breast and i dont know if i had any open cuts in my mouth.
But ater 15 mins i tasted a small sticky liquid in my mouth. I immediately spit. I dont know what that was. Could i get hiv or any other std.

Really scared.

You are still worrying needlessly. You were not at risk. Period. If you have physical concerns you should discuss them with your doctor. They have nothing to do with HIV because you were never at risk. Cut out all this totally unwarranted drama. Really.

A general query,
HIV DUO Testing (28 Day HIV Testing)
This HIV test can detect the HIV virus 28 days after infection and is called a "DUO" test because it combines an antibody test for the HIV 1 & 2 strains of the virus with an antigen test for the p24 antigen.

Doing this test in 29th day will it give a conclusive result.

Rocky,

NO, it will NOT give a conclusive negative result at four weeks. It can give you some peace of mind, nothing more, nothing less.

Only a test with a negative result at or after three months is conclusive, regardless of what sort of antibody test you use.

Of course in your case, you did NOT have a risk so a test at anytime will be conclusive for you.

If you read the Welcome Thread before posting like you're supposed to, you will have read the following posting guideline:

Quote

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Thanks Ann.

I am clear with the explanation got from Mr.Andy. But just for my peace of mind I am planning to do.

For a general knowledge purpose only,
In website they say 28 days test is 99.8% accurate and testing after 3months is 99.9% accurate. Is it just 0.1% difference or their is a big difference in results?

I don't know which website you are referring to in relation to 99.8% accuracy at 28 days. We adhere to the CDC's recommendation of 3 months for a conclusive negative result.

The 99.9% at 3 months just allows for any sort of failure or error since nothing is ever going to be 100% certain. But we know from long experience in the epidemic and affirming data that a negative at 3 months is reliable. Don't make matters more complicated than they need to be.

Thanks Sir.

I saw in this website http://www.better2know.co.uk/page/28-day-hiv-duo-testing

You have advised me NO RISK but just to kill my anexity I am thinking to do. 3 months means to carry a long time burden.

Re link, we still follow the CDC's suggestion to get tested at 3 months for conclusive result.

Test if you want to for your peace of mind. I don't see any reason to doubt you will get a negative result.

Rocky,

Yes, it means hiv negative. You do not have hiv, which is no surprise as you did not have a risk for hiv infection.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!!!
