Title: Kind of off topic...
Post by: idee on August 27, 2012, 04:36:37 pm
Last month on the 31st we had a home invasion. My laptop was taken and they took various items form around our house also, including $12 dollars from my  wallet. I guess I am lucky they did not take my whole wallet.
But today I get my new lap top and I can quit using my daughter's lap top.
The insurance company reimbursed us for part of what we lost, which we used part of, to get a new lap top.
The wierd thing is these creeps actually took some of our pills off of the top of the microwave where we keep them. So somewhere there is a stupid jerk not knowing he is walking around with Truvada.
I would have wrote about this earlier except I kind of just felt like saying something. I mean some jerk put a gun to the back of my head for a few dolloars.
Well anyway's my cell count went up to 842 and I am happy about that. And my TB test came back negative today.

being burglarized is a horrible thing :o and I feel badly for you and your family. We were burglarized three times - and moved to another house within 30 days each time. I still carry around some trauma from these incidents (and trauma from the house fire incident too) so I'm glad to hear that no one was hurt and that insurance helped reimburse some of your losses. Awesome news on both your test results!  :D

Hey Idee,

Being held at gunpoint is a very scary experience. Don't fret about having some anger and other emotions about this.

The last time it happened to me, I was a nervous wreck for a while - and it happened at work, not at home.

So, I am going to send some calming energy to you and yours.

I am very glad you weren't injured and you have come through this intact and with very good numbers. Thumbs up for that.

Now, on the bright side, maybe the idiot who took your Truvada will take several of them and get the royal shits for several days.

HUGS,

Mark

That's some scary shit.  About 15 years ago, I had someone kick in our front door.  I was home alone and I assume he thought the house was empty.  Luckily, I was in the bedroom where I was able to meet him with a 410.

Good news with your labs.

Idee I am so sorry , ditto Mark and any one else.

Happened 27 years ago to me and my late Partner Two scummy rats where dared to to storm the 'Batty Mons" flat . Fight / one captured / Police  / Old Bailey / Partner later developing concussion and Hospitalized , awful , senseless  event that screwed me up badly for six months and can still effect if I let it.

A Base ball bat though is easier to confront than a Gun .
Look after yourself and take care

I was held up at gunpoint and then pistol whipped about the head when I TRIED to get my wallet out to give to him.
That event caused me to have nightmares for several years.  Do not take this lightly.  If your friends say " Just get over it"...kick their butts.

I was robbed back in Nor-Cal, but luckily, I wasn't at home, they took a lot stuff, 2 Guns, entertainment equipment, watches, a 12 speed bike, even a motorcycle that I had no equity  (it was only 2 yrs old)....

Even to this day, it's a good idea to have renters/mortgage Ins.  I got paid for some of the loss, but it still bothers me today......vent, get mad, and do whatever it is you need to do  ;)

I feel ya ......some of us have been there too   :-[

Hugs
