You are on disability for psychological problems. I have good intentions and I've corrected MY motives. Not a negative individual, I would like to be an outreach worker. Wondering what opinions I might face. I've had an odd life experience and the worst of it is finally over. Thanks

Are you asking if its OK to study psychology?
If thats the question, my opinion is that anyone can study anything they wish to study. Don't you agree?
Are you asking if someone who is mentally unwell, or someone on disability for mental illness, can get a job as some sort of outreach worker Well, I have no idea really.  I don't see why not.  Its not so clear what you mean by outreach? You want to do HIV outreach?  As a volunteer, or you want to get a degree and get a job at a social service agency?
How about the situation that led you to disability? Have you got a handle on that? To study?  To eventually go to work?

What I'm asking is if If you overcome your mental illness than decide to go to college for social work so that you can outreach to the homeless, will it be possible without them discriminating on my/your own past mental record. I apologize for my verbal mistakes.

Many people who work in behavioral health have a mental health history and, like yourself, it has motivated them to work in a helping profession. For example, the  majority of substance abuse counselors are in recovery themselves or have addiction in their family. If you want to study psychology and work in behavioral health you will typically be surrounded by supportive peers. I encourage you to really research the particular area that interests you and talk to people who actually do that type of work. Oh, you also need to plan on obtaining a graduate degree, unless you are interested in psychiatric nursing which only requires a bachelor's degree. Good luck!
