Info about unprotected oral
« on: January 16, 2007, 03:40:05 pm »
Hello, I just want to ask you something.

I'm Male.

I had unprotected blow job only with a prostitude about three monts ago. After the oral i use  condom to get inside her. I had HIV and all other sexual transmited infections test after 50 days and it was all Negative.

I have no symptoms at all but i worry a lot.

Is it possible to have an HIV infection.

thank u!

No it isnt.
LIFE is not a race to the grave with the intention of arriving safely
in a pretty and well-preserved body, but, rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming--WOW! WHAT A

In the entire history of the epidemic there's never been a confirmed case of transmission from getting a blow job. It's safe to say that you're not going to make history by becoming the first.

With regard to intercourse you did exactly what you are supposed to -- you used a condom. They provide excellent protection.

There's no need for HIV testing nor for further concern about HIV in relation to this incident. Also, please read the lesson on Transmission if you haven't already done so. There's a link to it in the Welcome thread which opens this section. Getting all of that info down will help you to protect your health as well as spare you a lot of unnecessary worrying.

Cheers,

Thank you all. I have read the lesson on transmission on the welcome thread but i didn't find anithing very clear about the question i ask.

The first month after i went with the prostitude i was ok, but after i read all the infos about HIV on the net i was very very scary and i start search my body for symptoms.

Thank u again.

So if i have undestand you don't get infected if you just receive oral sex. am i wright?

i forgot to mention tha i have circumcision and i know that is much more difficult to get infected from HIV wright?

That's right. Receiving oral is not a risk for HIV transmission.

Whether you're circumcised or not is only relevant with regard to intercourse. Uncircumcised men are at greater risk for transmission during unprotected intercourse. Condoms provide very effective protection for all.

Hello, guess what. I'm back considering this insident.

Two days ago i had diareha and a fever of 37 - 37.5oC. This was just for one day. The next day i was ok i had no diareha or fever.

Has this anything to do with my exposure?

Thanks.

No... it has absolutely nothing to do with it, as you have been told there was no risk, you had protected sex.

If you haven't already done so then read the lesson regarding HIV transmissions, it will give you all the information you need.

Thanks, I've read the lesson, but i'm confussed because some sites says that there is a very low risk and others that there is no risk.

I don't want to have another test because i'm afraid af the results. I hadn't symptoms at all during this 7 months exept this 2 days ago. Isn't very late for ars to occure to me now?

I'm very afraid...

What do you sujest me? How can i forget this insident?

petran,

You've already been told you do not need further testing. No risk + negative hiv test result = a conclusive negative result. You do not have hiv.

You're going to feel unwell from time to time - it's just part of being alive. It doesn't mean it has anything to do with hiv.

You are hiv negative. Keep using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse and you'll stay that way.
