I have to admit that i am nervous about tomorrow hospital visit as it will be the first report after months of taking combivir and sustiva....i hope that the report is good...

Still horrified by the fact that started combivir and viramune which caused bloody eyes...switched to sustiva after 2 weeks on viramune...

After i started sustiva, it cause me dizziness at night...even after months of taking it...so i quitted my job and sitting at home ever since last month...Hopefully everything will not be too hard for me to accept tomorrow morning....

Wow... you should update us more.

Has sustiva been so hard on you that you have to stop working? I don't doubt your judgment but it's my view that as long as health permits it's better to be working than sitting at home. Did you have a chance to speak to your doctor about this side effect?

I am also on sustiva and initially it did cause a bit of dizziness but for me it was the nightmares and insomnia that almost made me asking my doctor to switch. Fortunately they have all come to past almost entirely - now my dreams are still vivid but just, well, weird instead of horrifying. I was also very happy one night last month I woke up NOT remembering any dreams (and well rested), which is something I had not had experienced since starting sustiva.

Best of luck to you buddy! Hugs, Shaun

Shaun,

Indeed i quitted my job due to this side effect as it caused me a lot of troubles working night shift...I'll be talking to the doctor tomorrow and ask for his/her opinion (not much drugs offered in my country..have to make the decision together with the doctor)

Strangely enough, i don't have other side effects except dizziness...lucky...

kisses and hugs,

Jing Hua

Hey Jing

Good luck for tomorrow friend.

Just a thought but if you aren't able to try an alternative combo some people take their Sustiva in the mornings rather than the evenings, if you're going back to night shift work might be worth looking at with your doc.

Keep us posted.

Got it buddy.. rotating shift can be very demanding even for folks that do not have to deal with side effects caused by medication.

So it's more of a transition than not planning to work again until having a solution with meds' side effects.

Do have a longer chat with their doctor, though I understand the system in Malaysia is not as friendly as it should be.

Will keep you in my thoughts dear..
