...and 60 years ago I came into the world a week later and quipped to the Doctor and Nurse after looking around: "Thanks everyone! You know, this room is nice but I have to say not as warm and cozy as my Mama's place."

this day always makes me think of the time my mother thought it was funny when she showed me the grave of the nurse who slapped after I was born.  :)  True story.  she expected the traditional family of 1 boy and 1 girl.  She was distraught when I was born male.  Added to that, she got fat with me so my dad said there was no way I was his.

I so appreciate her passing on her fat genes.  I grew up being teased that Dr. (overweight) Campolo was my dad.  It was believed by many since I'm the only dark completioned child  that I  couldn't be the son of Irish people.  Perhaps mama has a desire that we both share?

Since I am a twin and came out first, my Mama joked that I said to my sister, "Watch your step!" when it was her turn.  :D

Ms. P. I hope you enjoy the day despite the rain.

Happy Labor Day!!!!!!

I think I may go to my buddies pool party (a real pool, not a blow up one) this afternoon, but I am waiting to hear back on the guest list...it can go either way with him, 1) packed with hot drunk young guys in skimpies or 2) 50 year olds with sun hats and that white zinc sunblock on their noses.

btw, 10 years ago today I was nearly killed in the great Splash barge flip of '03 on Lake Travis while doing a line in the toilet with the DJ

Yep, looks like you are right where the jet stream and the moist front converge. Do you have any floaties?
