I recently became interested in peptide therapies as a way to enhance my results from training and exercise. I am undetectable, cd4 600 and 29 y/o man. Workout 4-5x a week resistance training, cardio, yoga. No history of cancer but I am an ex smoker.

I reached out to a clinic which suggested the combo listed above. From what I have read it seems there is overwhelming positive feedback and the clinics doctor was not at all concerned with my risk for developing cancer from an increased IGF-1 Level from treatment. She stated we naturally produce IGF and increase it through natural means as well, just not to the extent of peptides.

I asked my primary care doctor what his thoughts on the treatment would be and he was instantly against it saying that as an HIV+ person I am susceptible to certain forms of cancer. However, the medication Egrifta, which is made specifically for HIV+ persons, has similar effects as the combo prescribed by the clinic. Why would my doc be so against it if there is an FDA approved medication for HIV+ people with similar effects and risks? I am honestly pretty conflicted on what to think.

Does anyone have person experience with this type of situation or any similar treatments? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you. :)
