private insurance and HIV...

Is it possible to get private insurance when I go back to work after I finish school. Does anyone else with HIV have insurance that they get on their own rather then through public assistance?
It's just there are things I want and I am capable of working. I don't know how my medicaid or SSI would be affected.

Yes it is possible - I have employer paid insurance through my job - most employer group plans don't have a pre-existing condition clause, in which case, HIV does not impact your ability to be covered.

Of course, all employers and insurance plans differ, so always best to check with your HR department or read the benefits book when you get hired.

Each plan is also different in regards to co-pays, services covered, etc.
