Met another member
« on: November 10, 2006, 10:45:38 am »
I recently had the good fortune to meet another forum member, Abqcarl, while out on the town in Albuquerque.

He was a delight, as was his partner. We have many common interests, which is always a nice thing to discover.

The meeting took place at a local watering hole, one where distinguished gentlemen such as Carl and myself gather.  ;)

It was a real pleasure to meet yet another forum member in the flesh.

HUGS,

Mark

I think it's great that you guys were able to get together and share some time with each other...it seems to be happening quite a lot recently, so many family members getting to meet each other, I think it's wonderful.

Hugs to you all.

I am really happy for you that your able to meet other members.  I would enjoy the opportunity, but I find so few people in Columbus, Ohio.  I also belong to an AOL HIV chatroom and they are planning a poz social in Tampa / St. Pete in April.  I am trying to find the courage to go.  (Im sometimes a bit shy LOL).

Yes, it was very good to meet Mark last week here in Albuquerque. I had thought he looked familiar, but when he introduced himself by his name, I realized where I knew him from. It was fun to meet someone from the Forums in the flesh. He told me about the Forums Gathering, which sounds like a lot of fun. Norm and I are going to try to be there next summer if possible. I have grown quite fond of the "family" here, and even when I don't post anything, I check in every day to see what's going on, and how everyone is doing. Mark, next time you endeavor to come down to the thriving metropolis that is 'Burque, give me a yell, and maybe we can meet up while you're here.

Carl

Isn't Mark nice, though?  When I met him this fall, it seemed we had been friends for a long time.  He's a great guy.

Yes, I had the same feeling. And as an extra added bonus, he knew a lot of dirt on the local politicians, which helped me cement my decisions as to who to vote for!
