Hey Iggy,

Just stopping by to give you a holler. Unfortunately this is not my area of expertise. However, there is Newt and Gerry out there who may be able to assist you.

Stanford carries updated genotype resistance database; there's a summary and a more detailed PDF narrative linked to the summary:

PI resistance
NRTI resistance
NNRTI resistance

Hi Iggy,

I really like the Stanford tool for which Newt gave the link.  When I had my resistance test done, the Lab said everything was susceptible, however when I put my mutations in the tool (I had 4 NRTI and 3 PI mutations), they told a different story.  After that and some further conversations with doctors, it was determined that I had enough actual and potential resistance to NRTI's that being on Sustiva/Truvada alone made things a bit dicey for the Sustiva.  This is when we added the Reyataz to my regimen.  When (if??) I get my VL to undetectable and it stays there for a while, we will think of dropping the Sustiva.

Bottomline -- I think it's a good idea to put mutations in the tool and see what it says -- it is, apparently, a more up to date resource than, at least, one National US lab (Labcorp).

Hugs,
Mike
