There Is Hope!
« on: January 13, 2010, 01:47:33 am »
To all:

It has been some time since I posted on the forums.  I just wanted to let all of you who suffer with some form of mental illness, there is hope!

Please focus on the small things that start to slowly change as you progress through cognitive therapy and struggle with the "right" formula for medications.

I've been on the roller coaster of anti depressants, ADHD meds, insomnia meds.  I been fired or asked to leave from jobs even though I was trying my best to "keep it together".  Moreover, I've been in "support groups" where I've felt "less than" supported in my efforts to remain employed and seek higher educational goals.

Tonight, for the first time in years, I've been able to regularly wash my dishes!  It doesn't seem like a big deal to most, but, when you are so exhausted from fighting to go to work, work, then come home and do housework, it is almost next to impossible for some.  I've had to use disposable utensils for more years than I care to remember.

I wont' bore you with the other crazy stuff that has happened over the years, but I am glad the forums were here when I  discovered my HIV+ status.

I just wanted eveyone to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  Keep pressing on, there are people who care.  Keep fighting for your humanity.  It is your right as a human!

hullo Joy luck club ,
I hope you are still doing well !
It also took me a few years , after starting meds for life to return to normal !

It DOES  come full circle if you let it !

I have always believed what Martha Stewart said once .
"  IF YOU CON'T DO EVERYTHING , AT LEAST DO SOMETHING ! "

It works for me on those days that just start off wrong .
I am pretty active and that in it self makes one FEEL GOOD !

I do hope you post again !

WE are all here to listen and learn .

                                                                  Weasel

I'm still struggling but working hard to meet my goals!

My problem now is trying to do too many things!

I'm enrolled in a Ph.D. program, teaching part time at the community college, searching for a full time job, and preparing taxes for various individuals.

I'm also studying for the Texas real estate exam and the CPA exam.

Whew!  I'm hoping these activities will lead to some good opportunities!
