Any risk
« on: May 08, 2017, 12:11:55 pm »
Hello
Me any my partner went to the Greek islands recently
And met up with a few guys
Every time we engaged in sex we used condoms for all sex

However one particular guy we met asked us after via a messenger app
He said he didn't want any guy to cum in his ass but he never mentioned this when we met the fact remains we came in the condom which was not broke and ok and intact he said he never lets anyone come in inside him
Now he's made us abit paranoid now because we are thinking what if he was HIV positive would be at risk ? Even though we used comdoms

Second question if we are meeting with random men and use condoms for anal sex each time do we need to take prep treatment ? Thanks

Since you engaged in protected sex, you are not at risk for HIV infection, regardless of the HIV status of your partner(s).

For risk assessment purposes, we always presume in this forum that a partner of unknown status is HIV positive.

If you use condoms for sex, you do not "need" PrEP, but whether you "want" or choose to is your decision.

No

Its not a route to you for infection of HIV, anything on her hands was exposed to air and thus inactive and in 40 years despite wounds, scratched and boo-boo's nobody have been infected from day to day contact with them and yes touching someone's back and a spot falls under this.

It lacked exposure, quantity and route, it actually met none of the conditions needed. Theoretically as in never happened before if you cut her hands off and rubbed the stumps into bleeding knife wounds of you own it might be a risk but than I think you would have bigger problems to worry about.

You had no risk because the HIV is fragile and does not survive outside the body (exposure to air).

Also, receiving unprotected oral sex is not a risk for HIV-infection, though it could expose you to other STD's/STI's.

So then because I don’t know that’s why. I’m asking the pre semen If was infected with hiv dies straight away when exposed to air? I was only asking for clarification that’s all

Reason why I asked because his bodily fluids were involved ie pre semen licked from my chest then received oral sex, that’s why I was concerned that’s all
Thankyou for your time  Jim
Sorry to trouble again, many apologies

It's really simple.

HIV when exposed to air is not infectious. So any pre-cum, even if containing HIV, would not pose a risk to you. Even if it was a risk (which it isn't), saliva contains enough neutralising properties to render the virus ineffective, which is why oral is such a low risk activity in comparison to other activities.

To simplify further, the ONLY sexual acts which would signify any sort of risk are :
 - Unprotected vaginal and anal sex
 - Oral as the receptive partner (giving a BJ), in the setting of significant open wounds in the mouth.

So you need to stop worrying and move on with your life. Seriously.
