« on: May 14, 2014, 05:14:51 am »
It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that Michelle suddenly passed away yesterday, I'm still waiting to hear what happened.

Many of the old crowd will remember her from here in the forums, many will know her from FB, she had quite a few of us as friend over there.

R.I.P Michelle, your life was not an easy one, I hope you at peace now sweet lady.

In sadness
Jan :'(

Queen was one of a kind. She brought a much needed perspective to the forums that only a proud black woman could bring. She taught us all so much. RIP dear Queen.

Heavy heart indeed...Michelle was a good solid person and a good conversationalist...and by that I mean if you wanted to chat or message she would keep it up as long as you would.

She was very involved in the Women's forum when it was started and I will always remember her for that, but also for the way she made talking easy. I could always count on her to respond no matter here or Facebook. She would not wait hours or days or weeks to respond.

And she had some good, memorable sayings, too, such as: "Two tears in a bucket, mother fuck it," in response to her own situations.

For those who are more recent members, her original name here was "Queen Akasha," a reference to the character of the same name in Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles books.

I will always remember her for catching my attention with that handle, and for keeping my attention with her strong character and strong love. I would go as far as to call her a gracious lady, but she would probably say, "Stuff it, B!" in return.

Rest in peace, Mami Chelle

In love,
Creighton

Sad to read this.  I didn't have much interaction with her.  My condolences to all who knew and loved her.

Every time we talked about her coming to visit, she would always tease, "Don't you know it's always the blacks out in the woods tokin' that get killed!" It would always make me laugh.

She also tried to explain to me how to do Mini's hair.  It would always make her laugh.

She is irreplaceable.  My heart is broken.

She was a kind and gentle person, but very strong indeed;   Definitely one of our more memorable Forums personalities.

RIP Queen, you will me missed....

Rest eternal grant to Michelle, O Lord.
And let light perpetual shine upon her.
May the souls of all the departed,
Through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

I now see we have two threads on Michelle.  If we move them, can we snip these together?  It's up to you all, but I think it would be a good thing to do.

Oh man... Michelle no.  It's just not right, way too young.  She was one of the few members I stayed in touch with when I got banned.  As time passed we lost touch.

This is very very upsetting indeed...

The two members who's thoughts about me never swayed are both gone in the same year.

I never met Michelle but I recall her posts on the Boards.

She was a force, it appeared.

Sad to read of her passing.
