Hi gang

One of our most beloved forum members, and my DEAR dear friend, Dame Jan will celebrate her ___th
birthday on Friday.  (yes I know the number, and let me tell you, she is VERY very young for her age, in looks, heart, mind and spirit!) She can tell you her age if she chooses to.

I wanted to post a bit early so everyone would have an opportunity to chime in and wish Jan a happy birthday and "show her some love".

My dearest St. Jan,
   You are so very special to me.  I love, cherish and admire you for your beauty, strength, humour, style, grace, intelligence and charm.   You, my friend, are a very great lady.   I wish you the happiest birthday ever, and hope that you have many many more, and that I am around to announce all of them for years to come.

Does this mean you are finally at legal drinking age?  We won't have to "sneak" you into the pub anymore or ask you to use a fake ID....what a relief!

We became friends in 2006 and we met for the first time in 2007 when we did our first "Official" Memorial Service together, in all that time I have recieved a birthday card and Christmas card from you every year, you are one hell of a man and a wonderful friend, and I know that everyone who knows you and who has met you will agree with me, there is only one "Alanbama"..thank you for the birthday wishes and thank you for being you, love you heaps.


To everyone else thank you so much for your birthday wishes and for your kind words, as to my age, I can only quote what my beautiful Irish Grandmother once said, "1948 was a very good year".. ;)
