Possible HIV infection???
« on: November 02, 2008, 08:18:17 pm »
Hello Experts and thank you so much for being a part of this site that can help so many in need for questions that you can't necessary find so easily.

I have hooked up randomly with another guy (I'm a male myself) I was told by him that he doesn't have any STD's including HIV but of coarse there is always that doubt. I always keep it safe but left with a very uneasy feeling. I recieved a lot of oral, heavy kissing and I did TOP him with a condom... Other than this, we only masterbated together.

Here is what worries me. When he ejaculated, he did it on my hole... I'm unsure if there were any cuts on it etc... I did clench as well possibly allowing it to go into me just a bit... If it went into me or I had cuts I was un aware of, or ANYTHING and he was HIV positive that I could have been infected?

Also, I did TOP him with a condom but when I took the condom on their were dark fluids on it... Possibly blood, maybe not... When I pulled the condom off the fluids on the condom got on the tip of my penis... Is there any possibly way if the fluids entered my penis, this could lead to an HIV infection?

Thank you guys so much for any answers you are willing to provide...

Take care everyone

You were never at risk of contracting HIV. Take the time to read the Transmission Lession. You can find the link in the "Welcome" thread.

Thanks RapidRod. I did look at the page containing information on transmission but didn’t find exactly what I was looking for, or at least a scenario that showed my situation. I mean, I do understand that HIV is transmitted inside the body, but if his fluids got inside me when he did his thing on my hole then couldn’t that be a possibility… Same with the fluids on the condom that got on the tip of my penis when I took it off that could of entered my penis….

I was also curious about how the “Rare” incidents of ARS come only a couple days after infections (I read it usually will take weeks if at all but can sometimes happen within days)  because 2-3 days later I got a sore throat that went away after 5 days plus perfuse sweating which is very odd for me because I NEVER get sick and I have a GREAT immune system… How odd is that that right after I have sex for the first time in a while, I GET SICK when I haven’t been sick in sooo long!? Just really freaks me out…

THANK YOU GUYS!

Your mind sure is looking into every nook and cranny for stuff to worry (unnecessarily) about. Even if he dripped on to your butthole it would not have been a risk. Of course you're now worrying maybe you were irritated. Doesn't matter. HIV is a fragile virus that sexually requires the kind of receptive setting which only unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse provide. Everything else is risky strictly in theory. In the real world of AIDS we know HIV is not transmitted through other sexual acts, hearsay, stories and undocumented chatter and scared thoughts notwithstanding.

You were not at risk. That you have some physical things bothering you doesn't change the facts of the situation. If your symptoms persist you should discuss them with your doctor. Between here and the grave hopefully many decades away, your body is going to manifest all sorts of happenings. That doesn't mean they have anything to do with HIV. Really.

You used a condom for intercourse. Good. They provide very effective protection.

Your mind is just going beserk but honestly, you weren't at risk for HIV. Really, really.

Semen that could have entered by hole.. Inside it or if I have cuts there (Which I wouldn't doubt) Plus possible blood fluid on the condom that could have entered through the tip of my penis which I saw on there once I took the condom off... I mean, that is how you can contract HIV, right? Is by these fluids entering your body....

Sorry again, just wanted to make sure the details are clear on why I am so worried. I understand if it was only on my butthole then it's not a risk but entering through a cut or getting inside would be a risk I would of thought which is why I'm so worried (And it's definitely possibly it did get inside me when he cummed on it).. And if it is not a risk, how is that possible since you receive HIV by fluids entering our body...?

If this post gets answered, I will not be posting anymore, promise... Thank you guys. ALL responses appreciated!

Your details are quite clear. And if we had any doubts about your situation in terms of a potential risk we would say so. So no matter what other little niggling and nagging bits your mind may continue to come up with, you did not have a risk for transmission. Period.

Let this go and get on with your life.

Cheers.
