« on: June 20, 2007, 10:10:08 am »
now that i have discovered these forums and will probably use them a lot i thought it might be an idea to introduce myself.i am a 48 yr old scot living in londoni am in a relationship with someone who is also positive and on medication.we have been together three years and i have been positive for two and a half,so i guess i dont need to spell that out.the relationship is good but we tend not too talk about our status too much, hence my pleasure at finding these forums.

as ihave said in another post i started meds on monday sustiva and kivexa  today i feel good but a little tired ,at the moment my cd 4 count is 212 and vl 850000.my main concern at the moment is how i will manage at work and would welcome any advice

Hello and welcome to the forum.
Being tired seems to be a common thing with most people I know.  I have better days then others.
I have been home for the past 2 days.  Not sure what's up but I just feel drained of all energy and sleeping most of the day.  The few hours I am up, I get dizzy and just want to go back to sleep.  I hope I get some energy soon, I need to go back to work.
What do you mean manage at work?  Are you referring to your meds, side effects, disclosure?  There are many threads out here on those subjects.
Anyway, I wish you luck with your meds, hope you don't have bad side effects.

Welcome to the forums grubby.  Im new to here like you and enjoy these forums as well.  Im also in a relationship for about a year and a half and we are both positive, and just like you guys, we dont talk to much about our status either.  I started meds a month and a half ago (kaletra/truvada) and in one month my t-cells went from 177 to 344 and my viral load went from 2000 to the low 100's.  I hope the meds work out for you.

Hey Grubby,

Welcome, glad you found us and have joined in.

You're already doing better on Sustiva than I have been, so maybe you can teach me! I going on seven weeks tomorrow and I still get somewhat woggy from it.

My worst time is driving. I sometimes have to travel for work, and the driving is downright scary sometimes. I get so sleepy, or, at other times, fall into this trance-like state. Not good when you've got a 200 mile journey.

Anyway, keep us posted on how you are doing.

Oh, and MarkinSF, welcome to you as well. Glad you're here too!

HUGS,

Mark
