Hello
« on: July 30, 2011, 11:21:34 pm »
I have been lurking on aidsmeds since January 2011 and these forums shortly thereafter. I was hospitalized between Christmas and New Year 2010 with bacterial pneumonia and was informed I was HIV positive. I don't really remember too much of my initial counts...I believe the VL was above 800,000 and the CD4 was slightly above 200. I started on Atripla and sulfameth/trimesomethingsomething right away. I've had lab work done twice...in March 2011, the VL was down to 775 and the CD4s were up to 312. In June 2011, the VL was 75 and the CD4s up to 369.

My next labs aren't until September, so hopefully the trend will continue.

I am learning a lot from you folks and I appreciate your candid responses.

Thanks!!

Welcome to the forums Rjoh -
glad you decided to start participating.
Hopefully, in the time you have been reading through the threads, you have found that we are a family with a lot of personalities and opinions; humorous; no nonsense; serious; happy; angry; sad.... and a host of other emotions --- hopefully, you have also found that we are supportive.

Glad you found us.  Look forward to hearing more from you.
