Frontage and Semen
« on: December 24, 2016, 04:18:34 pm »
Hi, I had an exposure yesterday and I am sort of nervous. He was an older guy, we did mostly oral things. Deep kiss, and mutual oral, he rimmed me as well. I'm concerned because he took his uncut, unprotected penis and tried to insert it inside my anus but I stopped him. He was using those penis rings and it was very enlarged so when he tried to go in it hurt and left soreness- I'm sure he did not penetrate because I would have felt it, most that he went in was probably less then the head because it was so big from the ring and only for a few seconds because it hurt and I stopped him. He also fingered after and I had to make him stop that as well. After he also rubbed the tip of his head on my anus. Right now I have some soreness on my anus- which I'm guessing was from the frottage. Was there any exposure? I'm sure some pre-cum got on my anus and he did cause some irritation because of the frottage. We also deep kissed and I had some irritation and a sore in my mouth from brushing a few hours before, also I gave him oral and while he did not cum in my mouth, there definitely was some Pre-cum in my mouth.. Is there any exposure and should I go on PEP? I'm just very nervous. He did claim that he was drug and disease free when I asked before meeting. Thank you!

Hi

The rubbing (frottage), kissing, rimming, fingering is not a risk for HIV transmission. Now some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other easier to transmit STI's,

I'm sure he did not penetrate because I would have felt it, most that he went in was probably less then the head because it was so big from the ring and only for a few seconds because it hurt and I stopped him.

Look only you can tell us, if he inserted in you unprotected its a risk. Testing post incident such as unprotected intercourse (no matter how brief) is recommended guidelines is test at 6 weeks past any incident and then at 13 weeks to confirm the result.  You can read about testing here:HIV Testing

Taking PEP is up to you and your Doctor, do note that if you are considering PEP you should start taking this as soon as possible after exposure starting no later than 48-72 hours post exposure. It's up to you at the end of the day to decide to take PEP for this incident. Links to more information on pep is included in my signature.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

More information on HIV Basics, PEP, TaSP and Transmission can be found through the links in my signature to our POZ pages, this includes information on HIV Testing

Kind regards

Jim

Thank you for the quick reply. So if he did not penetrate (which I'm sure he didn't) then I am not at a risk right?

That is correct.  If he did not penetrate you, you are not at risk for HIV infection.

Hi, just had a sexual experience. There was no anal intercourse, he did finger me slighlty (without lube, so a bit rough but there was no blood and no tear) and rimmed me, but that’s about it in terms of actual anal intercourse. However, what concerns me is that while he was rubbing his penis between my tighs, he ejaculated there and some of the semen also ran down to my anus, we cleaned it up with a tissue, but a few mins later I did notice there was still wetness and I assume semen very near the anus. Is there any risk in this? He didn’t ejaculate on top of the anus as far as I’m aware, only near the general crotch area as frontage play but semen definitely did end up near my anus as a result of it dripping down.

Once HIV is exposed to air it becomes effectively non-infectious, so unless there was any penetrative unprotected sex, you are fine.
