Teeth cleaning
« on: March 06, 2019, 10:15:04 am »
Have a question. I’m undetectable, CD4 went down again to 405 from 490 last blood test 2/18/19 . Had a teeth cleaning two weeks ago, woke up the next day sick, cold symptoms, horrific cough and all. I’m still sick, just can’t shake it.

Anyone else have issues after the dentist? This could be a counicidence I know, should I be concerned? Honestly, it had been years sunse I saw a dentist, dental phobia 😉

Sorry to hear you are feeling unwell and, hope you feel better soon.
Excellent results though on VL and the CD4, 405 or 490 (Basically no difference)

My two cents; Sounds like coincidence to me, although even if the dentist had cross contaminated something, like picking his nose and made you sick, I'm not sure what the HIV connection would be. ;)

Hope you fell better soon.
Best, Jim

You are not going to catch a cold and the next day wake up with awful symptoms, generally a bad cold will come on for a week, last a week and take a week to get rid of to get back to normal.  You probably caught it a week before you went to the dentist.  You can catch a cold anywhere that someone else who has one has touched a surface, or from another person who has one or sneezed on you.
Pray God you can cope
I know you have a little life in you yet.
I know you have a lot of strength left.
