Mint, lemon, cucumber water. Let it sit overnight and drink when you wake up. Look it up. It's a good way to cleanse your system.

And you know that your friend knows scientifically what they're talking about exactly how?

Cleanse what system exactly? Digestive? Nervous? Lymphatic? etc. This all sounds more like something I would read on Goop.

Hi My name's donna I just wanted to let you know about Aloe Vera gel from the leaf if you haven't already heard. But also when you guys detox try to find a way to retain nutrients. You can get sick if you don't stay hydrated and retain proper electrolytes and nutrients. But mix/BLEND it in Orange juice or with lemons and Stevia (a natural leaf sugar). Green Tea is good for us too. I'm not new to the forums but I disappeared first time around because I couldn't get use to the forums foundation but I'm trying to learn.  CHIA SEEDS AND NETTLE LEAVES ARE GOOD SOURCES OF NUTRIENTS TOO :)

And I don't think long term detoxes are safe. Best detox is a light one like fruits vegetables and teas roots peanuts and beans. Lemon, aloe, roots, teas etc.. it shouldn't be a starvation diet. Things to think about:

Vitamins & mineral supplement
Vitamin D & selenium
Plant based and roots
Protein source
Electrolytes
Lots of water.

AND THERE ARE FOODS THAT DETOX, AND REPLENISH

This is just a revision of the last post. Just stay safe we

Before taking meds I detoxed regularly. I would advise taking the time and look carefully at length, and type of detox. Complete fasting I would reject, always keep hydrated and vitamin/mineral levels sustained.

As for what type of fast - you need to check for drug interactions - and drug can be plant root / fruit / vegetable based! Just because it's a natural product doesn't mean you can't have complications! I.e. Milk thistle, rose hip, grapefruit. Do your research first using HIV medication interaction survey which you find online by googling

A change in long term diet is probably best - more inclusion of whole foods, grains, vegetables, lean white meat/ oily fish, minimise red meat, processed food, high salt/sugar. But we should all do this whether poz or not. And of course exercise! As gentle or physical as you wish - good cardio 3 times a week and some light weights to maintain muscle strength.

Do your research and talk to your HIV nurse, take advise from professional sources
