Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Hello, how's everyone.

here is my story. I am. 28 year old male and are attracted to mtf trans. 3 weeks ago I had met a mtf trans. That have been chatting online for a couple of weeks before our encounter. I met and we hit it off, she invited to her place and we started French kissing for a while. In the heat of the moment she performed unprotected oral sex for five minutes. I ejactulated in her mouth but she didnt swallow. Throughout the whole day we kissed, but the oral sex happened at the end of the night.

The next morning I woke up with nussea and diarrhea for 4 days. 4 days later the diarrhea went away, and started developing pain in all sides of my lower stomach for another couple of days. I went to my doctor and he thought that it my appendix, so he told me to go to the er and get it looked at. The er performed test on blood and urine, my lab work ended up being normal. The pain went away, but after that for 3 weeks I keep waking up with chills and sore throat constantly. the chills are only in the morning, but the sore throat is throughout the day. I got testes for mono and strep, came back negative.

One week ago I got tested for all stds and HIV. The test results for STDs and HIV came back negative. the test happened two weeks after the encounter. Yesterday I went to a ear, nose, and throat specialist to see what the problem with my sore throat is. He looked at my throat and checked my lymph nodes on my neck and said that everything was ok.

Waking up with chills and sore throat everyday is concerning me. I have no fever what so ever, my body temperature is 98 degrees. I keep reading on the Internet that one of the symptoms of HIV is sore throat. But all we did was deep kiss and received unprotect oral.

Nothing that you have mention put you at risk of contracting HIV.

Thank you for the response, so that means I dont have HIV? What could the sore throat and chills mean?

See your doctor for you symptoms they have nothing to do with HIV.

There is absolutely no way to get HIV from getting fellatio. Whatever your symptoms indicate, HIV cannot be on that list.

Thanks, what about deep French kissing? Can HIV be transmitted through deep kissing?

No, HIV is transmitted from unprotected vaginal or anal sex.

I tested negative for HIV at the 2 week mark. Should I get retested agian just to make sure?

Are you listening to anything that is being said to you. Unequivocally neither getting a blowjob or kissing are risks for HIV. Period.

Let it go and get on with your life. And no, there is no need for testing.
