Good job JG :)

btw, did anyone notice in the list of eggs there was a brand called "Ralphs Eggs".  Who would buy a carton of eggs with the name "Ralph's" on it? Me thinks Ralph needs to hire a different marketing director.

As an aside, I just discovered this new place two blocks from my apartment.  One of their egg specialties is this and I'd bet money that both Wumpy and jg would order it.

I think I may go and eat this soon, once the Salmonella flag is lowered.

Never insert contaminated eggs into your rectum unless they are in a condom , if you dont have a condom just use the whole damn chicken and you should be fine .

I had sausage and gravy over fresh tomato's this very morning .

The iron skillet dish with the eggs and meat looked gross to me but this quinoa one looks delectable.

I spend the extra few cents and always buy cage-free, free-range eggs, usually organic, where the hens were not fed a diet of crap. Most eggs sold in the US come from chickens that are fed hormones, are tortured and live in filthy conditions. It's a sad situation for the animals and potentially dangerous for those who eventually eat those eggs, a perfect breeding ground for salmonella and other pathogens. If you saw one of these large scale commercial egg operations you might not want to eat those eggs again.

I probably eat a grand total of two eggs per month.  I routinely throw out half of what I buy.

I had a delicious pain au chocolat this morning with Tanzanian Peaberry Ruvuma coffee.

The actual menu link for that item says "choice of breakfast meat" so just look under the side dishes at the bottom of the menu -- fyi, click this to edify your Aussie ass about scrapple :) I'm not quite sure what they're referring to with the "pork roll" item though.

Well would it have killed the lazy fuckers to have written with your choice of breakfast meat? Given that dish is brought to table still in the fucking frying pan suggests it might.

Also the name "green eggs" sounds like some ghastly Dr Suess meets organic wankers play on words.

"Bah! Humbug!" sez Matty the Damned.

Your nasty Pennsylvanian peasant meat dish doesn't afear me. I eat offal. :)

Now that I would like to try! I adore quinoa. I had it tonight with my grilled fish.

For those who are diabetic, it is the best of all worlds, healthy, full of good stuff and low on the glycemic index.

Anyway, I would love to try this dish.

Dammit y'all, all this talk about food has made me hungry again!

Now you go and mention scrapple. Oy, that sounds yummy. Served browned from the skillet with maple syrup over top.

My mind is saying yes, but my stomach - and my diet - is screaming, "SAVE ME!!"

Cases of salmonella from infected eggs have now spread much wider than the three initially reported states--California, Minnesota, Colorado.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control is now reporting cases in ten additional states:

Arizona
Connecticut
Maryland
Massachusetts
Nevada
North Carolina
Oregon
Pennsylvania
Tennessee
Texas

ick, I'm not sure I could eat goose eggs, or even quail eggs. I remember my grandmother telling me about how they ate Turkey eggs and how they were so big. I'm sure eggs other than a chicken egg are jsut fine, I think I'm just mentally conditioned to believe that an "egg" should only come from a chicken. Perhaps ill put that on the list of things to discuss with my psychotherapist.

The Cobb Salad I had for dinner tonight had hard boiled eggs in it.  This was followed by a sacher torte with raspberry sauce.

Hmmm... Sachertorte. Yum. Nothing like the one from the Hotel Sacher. Sweet memories.

I actually quite like hard boiled eggs.  I really, really hate fried eggs if they're at all runny, a legacy of my youth when we ate eggs three days a week.  However, I don't like my scrambled eggs dry -- they must be cooked over a low heat, or bowl over pot of low simmering water, and be moist a la oeufs brouilles manner.

That makes me want to go here today -- a mere 5 block walk! There's also a Phở-specific place around the corner.

PRO TIP: Vietnamese is less fattening than most Chinese IMO

Looks like that place would make me a happy man . I could eat Chinese , Japanese , Thai or viet.  food everyday and never get tired of it .

I did however object to my bacon and eggs western style breakfast prepared on the same grill as squid when I was in Thailand . I like squid but squid flavored eggs ... not so much .

Was that before or after the 12 year old boy you hired as a dancing partner?

I was appalled when I found out that kind of thing goes on there , very disturbing .

I did get drunk one night in Puckett and pay to see a young lady shove a bird up her pussy but the joke was on me , the bird girl wasn't available so we had to settle for a girl and a clever gold fish trick .

All in all bargain entertainment for around five bucks .
