Things To Do In Toronto ???
« on: August 31, 2006, 10:17:17 pm »
Next Week Im gong to be tagging along on a business trip with My Other Half for a 5 day visit to Toronto, while he's  doing the Corporate Thing.. Ill have days to myself and we're staying in Downtown Toronto, which appears to have all kinds of fun crap going on... Id like to go to the CN Tower thats pictured in some of the pics from last years AMG,
Although Im deathly afraid of heights, and not too cracked up about being in an extreemly tall, high profile building during the week of Sept.11, I think I can deal with it...

What are some of the highlights of Toronto ?? Im comfortable with subway travel so if theres something in an outer area, Im cool with it. Id rather stay away from 'touristy' stuff..  Also, where is the Gay Area ? every big city has one. ;D....  I need a rainbow Maple leaf for my collection,   The Distillery district sounds fun...  Does Simmons dept. store have a branch in Toronto ??  Where can I get a Stuffed Beaver? ( keep your smart remarks to yourself...)
Is Pot  available legally anywhere??
Im all set for dining plans except for one night which I left open for some spontaniety... although I'm really looking foreward to 'Rain', 'Scaramouche' and' North 44'    where is the best shopping??  If its anything like Montreal, there should be plenty of good boywatching :P...
Wasn't the US version of Queer As Folk shot in Toronto?? Id love to see Woodys...( see above note about smart remarks)
Any advice would be great, and I promise not to act too much like a tourist....
I love a good Museum, but I really cant get into stuff like Historic Cemetaries or Churches ( besides, If I set foot in a church Id undoubtedly get a Lightning Bolt in the Ass..)  Niagra falls might be fun, although it would be kinda pathetic to go by myself... Id wind up getting drunk and peeing in it. then cry on my stuffed Beaver all the way back....
