update and questions
« on: January 10, 2007, 11:36:15 pm »
I know it has been a while since i posted but I read here on a daily basis....Hubby is not doing much better.  He was taken off all antibiotics but still remains sick on a daily basis.  He has lost about 26 pounds since thanksgiving.  I know several on here have lost loved ones due to the complications and such of AIDS and I was wondering what were some of the last signs before you lost them.  It seems to me that hubby is not getting any better, vomiting on a daily basis, if no diarrehea, then constipation, does not seem to be urinating as much as he should.  Do any of these things sound like he may be getting closer to the end of his fight?  Any answers would be greatly appreciated....Just trying to prepare myself and kids for what may be right around the corner.

Hi Sherry,

I cannot answer your question, I am sure someone else will, but I want to extend my sympathy and thoughts in this challenging time for you and your loved one.

My heart goes out to you. I am so sorry your hubby is not doing well. I have never been with anyone close to death from AIDS. My brother in law's brother had AIDS. I would visit him in the hospital. Towards the end he did lose a lot of weight. When I would go to visit him in the hospital, he would be delusional. Asking me if I saw the little green men. He had Kaposis and PCP. He got the strength to leave the country and return to his native mexico where he died a month later in a hospice. However, I was not there. He was a brave soul who took care of all of his affairs before he passed away, including making sure his two daughters were secure financially before he died. I don't know if this helps. This of course was early nineties.
