Newby here! So hi to everyone over the pond from the UK
I'm coming up to year 32...diagnosed October 1985!
Ready to start a new chapter in life before my 50th birthday next August. Finally ready to 'come out' and contribute again within the pos community after twenty years of being silent - having become disillusioned by the lack of support for long termers in the 90s.
Have things changed? To me, I really don't think they have! The spectrum of knowledge has come on in leaps and bounds, but support for those of us with years of experience - both good and bad - seem somewhat sidelined. Prevention is the HIV buzzword.
The handful of us that are still here, our special group of 'early adopters', as a friend calls it, are just as important.
