Worried about a fellow member

I didn't know the right place to put this so I just put it here.

I am very worried about Larry (lforsyth).  His last couple of posts sounded very down, I couldn't respond to them because they were in LTS.  I know he's been feeling isolated and down lately and even said he was going to stop his meds.  I sent him a text message this morning and he has not replied yet.  He hasn't been on the forums since the 30th of November.

I don't know what I'm trying to accomplish here....Does anyone else talk to him?  Has anyone else heard from him lately?

Did you try emailing or facebook? Maybe he's having phone issues today. It's not unusual for him to go a week or so without posting.

Maybe he is taking a little Forum break?  Being sometimes depressed and sometimes isolated myself, a little Forum break is restful     Have the best day

I hope he is OK, I'm sure he will be happy to know that you were thinking of him, this time of year can be a little hard on some of our members...as soon as he see this he will call in and give us an update.

Yes, I'm very down. A 24 Year Old at work was friendly when he joined us out in the smoking area (21 feet from curb). He was taken in by a click of straight people and started giving me attitude. I stopped acknowledging him.  Last Friday that group talked about me as an asshole and laughed their asses off. A coworker was there and took offense at their behavior.

I went to work on Monday and got through the day but realized that this was affecting and infecting the others outside.  I'm mostly tolerated.  I stayed home Tuesday and Wednesday feeling sorry for myself.

At the same time I was to have my Year End performance review.  My manager demands more than an 8 hour day from everyone.  I've been coming in at 4:30 AM and leaving at 2:00 PM but that's not enough. She's one of those who gains energy by draining out of others through the day by bullying them through countless meetings.

I'm just hanging in there for now.  I was in a very dark place and wonder if I'd call 911 if there was a serious problem again.

I'm going to work tomorrow to get a bad performance review.  I'll park somewhere away from the smoking place and probably stay far away from everyone.

I know that it's only my side but noone seems to be interested in it from the other side.

I need to get my head around these events.

Plus the fact that Married men have been coming on for sex, which is weird. I feel totally messed up.

POZNISEGY has been my solace during it all.

I'm feeling that I have too much bottled up inside for all of you to understand or accept.

Larry, have you considered getting some one-on-one mental health counseling?

Hi Larry , I have read several of your post and wanted to reply but its really hard to know the right thing to do in a situation like yours .

I'm with Miss P . on this one , I really feel the best advice to give you is to seek some counseling . Its my guess you are depressed judging from the tone of your post . You mentioned calling 911 if you got yourself in trouble , if you are thinking this way its time to seek some help .

I agree with the others on counseling, I would do it post haste.

btw, therapists rock.

Also, do you think it prudent to list the names of your boss who you just railed on, and the name of the other guy? All it would take is for one of these people to Google themselves and perhaps find your post. Which may cause even MORE problems for you Larry.

Larry, I agree with the others about counseling.  It sounds like you will benefit from it.

Please give me a call sometime.  I'm only about 20 minutes away or so.  We can do coffee or breakfast sometime.  it would be nice to see you and I'm a good listener.    I will pm you my number again.

I removed the names from your post as I thought it was possible that you didn't know that these forums are searchable. If one of your coworkers or someone else googled these names, this post could show up. I can understand your frustration and anger with them, but thought it would be better and safer for you in the long run to not have their names listed here.

I would also echo what the others have recommended. If you have a therapist, please make sure to tell them about these issues you are having at work. If you don't have a therapist, it sounds like you would benefit from seeking one out.
