snake oil
I was not going to comment about the absurdity of the posted articles because I thought I'd rather not have to wade through the replies that would happen in this thread; however, and this is what needs to be pointed out, your reply is brilliant.

It was a mistake in handling a trouser snake that got me into this shape so ... I dunno, maybe I should have read the links before replying .

They are not snake oil sellers.
Maybe fresh water sellers.

The convention seems like a fine and dandy event.

The only caveat:  cleverly yet drearily, the articles and the quoted homeopaths use the same vague language, boilerplate, of most HIV treatment research reports - promising this, potentially that, yada yada.  So it adds up to jack squat for the moment for a person with  HIV.  Also, maybe don't research any of this for very long on any one individual because, you know, ART stops replication.  So a few months or a year but obviously it involves an avoidance of effective treatment available now.

But its certainly interesting and hopeful to imagine and investigate all different kinds of possible ways to treat HIV.
