going crazy with worry
« on: January 24, 2015, 03:46:36 pm »
hello everyone hoping to get some help or reassuarance from you guys ...
so here is the thing....about 16days ago i was fooling around with a friend we kissed and he fingered me.then i gave him a handjob.but i refused him sex however there is a point wher he pulled me closer to his penis and i think it got to my entrance but didnt penetrate me however the minute i started giving him a handjob i felt something coming out of his penis not sure if it was precum or semen since we were in the dark and since i am not experienced with this, so when his penis touched my vagina it had precum/semen on it i quickly panicked and stood up..however i have been sick with worry since that day and he agreed to get tested a week after and he was negative however when we wher waiting for results he handed me my phone which was in his pcket and it had blood from the finger he had been pricked on now my questions are
1 does the scene i described above put me at risk for hiv
2 is it possible for someone to be penetrated and not feel it even with just the tip of the penis?incase he did so and i did not feel it?i am not really sure how penetration feels like sincemy first time i was intoxicated
3 after 15 days i developed a node in the groin i started sneezing, had congested nose,a lot of pain in the neck area and groin and neck, itchy skin and i can feel bumps/lumps in my inner thigh..could this be hiv symptoms
4could the blood i touched with my hand with a pricked finger put me at risk?
5 do you think i need to test?
i would really appreciate your help
thanx in advance and i apologise for the long message
PS you guys are doing an awesome job

Rubbing his penis against you, without penetration is not a risk for HIV infection.

2 is it possible for someone to be penetrated and not feel it even with just the tip of the penis?incase he did so and i did not feel it?i am not really sure how penetration feels like sincemy first time i was intoxicated

If you were penetrated you would know it.  The risk from HIV involves unprotected penetrative sex, which you did hot have.

3 after 15 days i developed a node in the groin i started sneezing, had congested nose,a lot of pain in the neck area and groin and neck, itchy skin and i can feel bumps/lumps in my inner thigh..could this be hiv symptoms

Symptoms can be caused by many things and the only way to know your status is to test.  However, you have not had a risk.

4could the blood i touched with my hand with a pricked finger put me at risk?

HIV is a very fragile virus that is damaged instantly when outside the host.  It does not survive on surfaces and you had no risk.

5 do you think i need to test?

You DO NOT need to test over this incident, as you never had a risk.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to HIV testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start.  As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine HIV tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than HIV.  Some of the other STDs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid HIV infection. It really is that simple!

thank you so much for the reply that got me relaxed so in other words i can put this behind me?and its certain if he had penetrated me i could have felt it because there is a time i felt pain during the fingering and my silly mind now thinks he penetrated then but i really should have felt the difference between a finger right?i guess my mind is just trying to find a way to stress me lol...once again thank you for your reaassurance
Ps i can move on from this right?i am not a sexually active person though thats why i freaked out like this

Yes it is safe to move on, just remember to always use condoms for any penetrative sex and you will avoid HIV.

1 when you said rubbing is not a risk,do you mean even if the penis was at my vagina entrance with precum/semen on it ,it stil does not pose a risk?
2 do hiv symptoms come together or on different days?

None of things you are worried about are a risk for HIV as Joe has already told you .

Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is primarily transmitted INSIDE the human body, as in UNPROTECTED anal or vaginal intercourse where the virus never leaves the confines of the two bodies. Once hiv finds itself outside the body, small changes in temperature, and pH and moisture levels all quickly damage the virus and render it unable to infect.
