So I've been working really hard to get back in shape this year. I've plateaued and I still am not quite where I want to be. Many of my friends have been taking a fat burner called oxyelite pro that has worked really well for them. I've spent a lot of time searching the Internet to see if I can find anything about interactions with my hiv meds (prezista, norvir, IDE tress, and viread ) and have found nothing. Does anyone know where I might be able to find out if taking this would be a no no?
Thanks

Hi:
Does anyone know about OxyElite Pro fat burner? If so I would really appreciate any advise about it... I am taking Atripla and I would like to know if is Ok to use this product.
Thanks

From their website (http://www.oxyelite-pro.com/oxyelite-pro-side-effects):
If you are on prescription drugs, seek a doctor’s counsel before taking any supplement, including OxyELITE Pro. This is doubly true if your drugs are stimulant-based, anti-depressants, or operate on the thyroid.

Thanks a lot...Miss Philicia ;D

I'd also like to know if anyone has had success mixing OxyElite Pro (morning) and ATripla (night) The only google results that show a negative results is the following youtube blog: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Y0VqgnYJhA (see comments below the video) The other product made by the same company is called JACK3D. I'd like to know if anyone on ATripla uses that as well. (almost the same ingredients)

You sent a link to a generic google searche: OxyElite Pro
(not very helpful!)
I did google of course, I don't see info that talks about the exact active ingredients in OxyElite Pro and drug interactions with HIV meds.
The only thing I can find so far is a youtube comment blog and comment about it, with no details though. (and is it only Atripla? what about Complera?)

yeah man, sorry about that. i think I was researching it and I ended up unintentionally posting one of the links. Not a useful link at all.
Any info since your post? I don't think it's a good product. The active ingredient has been reported to cause feelings of thyroid storm. I've been monitoring the reports of Egrifta, but regular routine at the gym is keeping my four-pack intact. I stopped for a while to cope and to be fatalistic for a while, but I'm back in the routine. No noticeable difference.

I have an idea: Print out the ingredients list and ask three different professionals if you can or should take it: 1) the doc treating your HIV. 2) Your pharmacist. 3) A certified nutritionist. Follow their advice accordingly.
