Title: Worried about blowjob
Post by: Helpmegod90210 on February 26, 2012, 06:25:51 am
Help me please I'm so scared to the point of tears

I feel like an idiot and I'm so worried, I paid a prostitute in a parlor for a blowjob and she used a condom but shredded it on her tooth that lasted about 4-5 mins but this morning I noticed a small minute about 1/2 a centimeter cut like scratch on the tip of my penis, I'm so scared because if she had an ulcer or because she used mouthwash straight before maybe i have it because I read mouthwash kills the good bacteria in her mouth making it easier for the bad ones to go straight into the bloodstream or saliva mixed with my blood? God Im so scared and angry at myself I feel like my life is over and something has been taken from me! : ' ( I feel I dot know if I should be really scared or I'm safe, she said the girls get regular tests every 2 weeks but I don't believe her and am so angry she wasn't gentel and did her job responsibly I'm so upset

Please help me, I really need some help and answers from someone I've read all the responses and am still worried : (

I am so sorry : ' (

Help,

I removed your post from someone else's thread and put it here, on it's own. You should ONLY post in this thread from now on. I also deleted another, similar post you left in another thread.

If you read the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) before posting like you're supposed to, you would have known this. Make sure you read and abide by our posting rules. Thank you for your cooperation.

You're worrying unnecessarily. Getting a blowjob, with - or without - a condom is NOT a risk for hiv infection. Not one person has ever been infected this way and you will not be the first.

Not only is saliva NOT INFECTIOUS, but it also contains over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that damage hiv and render it unable to infect.

There have been three long-term studies of couples where one is positive and one is negative. In the couples who used condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, but no barrier for oral activities, not one of the negative partners became infected with hiv. Not one.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST SPECIFICALLY OVER A BLOWJOB, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Hi Ann

Thankyou for taking the time to respond to my question
I already knew that however about saliva from reading your other answers- but the thing I so worried about is the fact that there is a small red cut like scratch on the tip of my penis now from her tooth, my fear is can a cut that tiny (1/2 centimeter) be enough for her diseases if she had any to crawl into my system? Over a 5 minute blowjob? And because I was cut am I at a high risk cause my bloodsteam was "open" I jumped into the shower straight after it happened in the parlor. I really regret staying with that irresponsible tramp!

Also are you a doctor?

It doesn't matter what details you throw into the mix. Believe me we have heard lots of them because getting a blowjob is one of the most common of sexual activities.

In the entire history of the epidemic there has never been even a single confirmed case of transmission to a guy in that manner. It's safe to say you won't make history by becoming the first.

You are worrying needlessly about HIV. Really.

God I hope your right my friend

Are you a doctor or is this site where you guys reassure people who may be at risk no matter the story? Sorry but I don't mean any disrespect it's just are you sure? I really want to just get on with my life. I keep thinking My blood, her saliva, what if she had a cut in mouth.... Over and over

Are you sure I'm ok?

Help,

Unless you repeatedly punched her in the mouth before she blew you, there could not possibly be enough blood present to cause concern. Not one person has ever been infected by getting a blowjob and you will not be the first.

If you cannot bring yourself to believe us when we say you had no risk, go test, collect your negative result and get on with your life.

We absolutely do not "always
God I hope your right my friend

is this site where you guys reassure people who may be at risk no matter the story? Sorry but I don't mean any disrespect

You don't mean disrespect? Is that in the same sentence in which you basically accuse us of TRYING to get people infected or avoid testing in order to pacify them?

That is bullshit of the worst order, and insulting beyond measure.

None of us are medical doctors.

Ann and Andy and other moderators have their extensive resumes listed on the "about us" section of this website. I mean, had you bothered to look.

As for myself, here are my credentials:

Certified HIV counselor, 1995 to present.

Helped research and modify the transmission vector guidelines on this site using first-tiered peer-reviewed science - which was vetted and verified  by the administrators of this site.

Since being infected in 1993, I have made it my mission to work in HIV prevention. I ran a non-profit HIV prevention organization from 1995 until 2001. I studied under the late Dr Al Ichiki, one of the leading researchers in HIV and AIDS research. I like to think I have contributed to this site in a positive manner, especially regarding the studies made since the advent of HART therapy in the 1990s.

The quajtification we use at AIDSMEDS is based on three distinct and separate studies conducted over the course of two decades with serodiscordasnt couples. We do not rely on anecdotal evidence insofar as HIV transmission is concerned, especially not now, where the current state of the scientific and epidemiological art is as advanced as it is. With more people living longer and healthier lives, a large enough collection of serodiscordant couples has finally emerged to create blind studies where HIV transmission routes can be studied with scientific quantification.

Here are some of the  scientific findings.

No incident HIV infections among MSM who practice exclusively oral sex.

Am J Epidemiol 1997, 146:531-542.

Studies which show the fallacy of relying on anecdotal evidence as opposed to carefully controlled study insofar as HIV transmission risk is concerned:

Jenicek M. "Clinical Case Reporting" in Evidence-Based Medicine. Oxford: Butterworth–Heinemann; 1999:117

Saltzman SP, Stoddard AM, McCusker J, Moon MW, Mayer KH. Reliability of self-reported sexual behavior risk factors for HIV infection in homosexual men. Public Health Rep. 1987 102(6):692–697.Nov–Dec;

Catania JA, Gibson DR, Chitwood DD, Coates TJ. Methodological problems in AIDS behavioral research: influences on measurement error and participation bias in studies of sexual behavior. Psychol Bull. 1990 Nov;108(3):339–362.

So no, we do not pull our risk assessments out of our collective asses.

I am, however, highly insulted that you would suggest our goal is the antithesis of stopping HIV infection. We often identify and support people who have had a legitimate risk and see them through the testing process. In our time on these forums we have seen less than fifty people seroconvert from this part of the forum. That's over TENS of THOUSANDS of people who have passed through here.

Those few people all had real risks. Which you DID NOT HAVE.

And I am absolutely finished with this conversation.
