Welcome to Do I Have HIV?

Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Anyone who needs to post more than three messages in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum -- including past, present and future POZ Forums members -- will need to subscribe, with secure payments made via PayPal.

There is no charge to read threads in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum, nor will there be a charge for participating in any of the other POZ forums. In addition, the POZ Basics "HIV Transmission and Risks" and "HIV Testing" basics, will remain accessible to all.

Help I need some peace of mind?!

I was with a guy for 3 months. The last month we became sexually active. He never wanted to use a condom and we had sex probably 10 times over the course of the month. We stopped dating because a girl started texting me informing me she was his girlfriend. 2 weeks later I get an anonymous phone call from a girl informing me he is HIV positive. I contacted him and he confirmed it and told me he has been taking stribilt for the last year and that his viral count is undetectable. I am extremely scared, I feel like and idiot for believing his lies, I am going crazy. I was tested immediately after the girl initially texted me and I was positive for chlamydia and negative for everything else including hiv. I know that i need to retest every couple months for a while to be sure whether I contracted HIV. Any advice or words of wisdom would be appreciated....Im going out of my mind.

The testing window period is 6 weeks past exposure and again at 3 months to confirm the results . It will only add to your anxiety if you over test , so if you test at 6 weeks and again at 3 months you will have your answer .

If he is indeed undetectable there is a good chance you will come out of this OK .
