This is an HIV-specific website.

The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is transmitted through sexual/genital contact. I wouldn't consider getting a massage or being masturbated to be a risk. HPV causes warts or nipple-like potrusions on the skin. It is also associated with certain cancer in women and anal cancer in both men and women. If you have any symptoms then you ought to be examined by a doctor to determine whether you have it or not.

Did i run any risk?
« Reply #2 on: August 19, 2008, 03:10:06 pm »
Dear Sr:
This was my experience:
I was with a prostitute.
She gave me a full body massage and lick my back with her tongue.
Then i masturbated her with my finger, wich it was cover by a condom(my finger), so my finger never touched directly her vagina and her fluids.
After that she gave a hand job and that was all.
That was al what happend, there wasn't vaginal sex, anal sex, oral sex, nothing else happend.
Did i run any risk to get hiv or another ill of sexual transmission.
I'm sorry for my english, i hope you can understand what i said.
Please answer as soon as you can.
Thankyou.

Costeau,

You are at no risk for HIV transmission.

Please go to the Welcome Thread ,it contains links to information about the methods of HIV transmission.

You don't need to put a condom on your finger. You're not going to get hiv in your finger.

Thanks again.

cost,

It works both ways. You can't get it in or through your finger. Fingering is not a risk for hiv infection.

Nothing that happened with the sex worker put you at risk for hiv infection.

A question that never die
« Reply #7 on: September 30, 2008, 04:03:36 pm »
Sr.
I have a very straight question.
Speaking about only sexual risk behabiors.
Could i say that if i don't practice any kind of penetrative sex(anal, vaginal and oral)
i have no chance to get hiv. Rememeber that my question is exclusive about sexual risk behavior, here is not considerer needle stick o another kind of risk, only and just only sexual risk.
Can i consider the other practices (massage, hand job, fingering, etc.) cero risk, of course speaking always about hiv.
Thanks for all.

Costeau, only unprotected penetrative vaginal and anal have proven to be a risk sexually for HIV transmission. All of the other things you mentioned, including oral sex, are theoretically risk. But in the real world of HIV transmission doesn't happen through those behaviors. Massage, handjob and fingering are zero risk for transmission.

Hi, yesterday i went with a prostitute. There wasn't oral, vaginal or anal sex.
She gave a massage all over my body and them i put her face dawn on the bed and frottage my penis against her but until i cum.
All the time she was wearing her panties and i was wearing a condom, there was not penetration, only frottage.
There was any chance to get any sexual transmision decease like HIV, HERPES, HPV, ETC.  with what i did.
Thanks for all what you to help us.

cost,

You were wearing a condom. You were protected. You didn't have a risk for anything except for exciting your sexual paranoia.

Why there are so many different points of view?
« Reply #11 on: February 17, 2009, 02:02:35 pm »
Dear Andy.
I'm sorry for my english, i hope you can understand what i want to mean in this post.
First of all i want to thank you for all the great work you do helping us to deal with situations that mostly of the time are far from being risk situations.
Before asking you my question, i want you to know that i'am not dubting about your knwoledge about hiv, is just a concern i have.
Why there are some many different points of view about the hiv risk situations.
Some post before there was a guy who was worry because what you had answer to him about his concern was completly different from what other people had told him about the same concern.
You advise to him that if he continue to surfing in the net for the same question he were going to find a great number o differents answer to the same question.
My concern is why cant all the experts be agree about wich situation involve risk and wich not.
I'am from Argentina and here for example being suck is considered a risk situation and you in all your threads are tired to answer people that being suck is not a hiv risk situation.
I asked to you this because when you were involved in a hiv risk situation or sometimes not but you were convinced that it did was certanly a hiv risk situation, is very frustrating to look for an answer and find nothing but more anguish.
Again, that for all the works that you do and i hope you stay well.

We cannot account for what other sources may say about HIV risk. We rely upon many years of experience joined to the most up-to-date scientific data from sources with which we stay in constant contact.

If you have a specific concern you can ask us. Attempting to be responsible for what others may say is beyond the scope of the work we do and it's not a task we are willing to take upon ourselves.
