What can I take with Isentress?

I see that Isentress is suppose to be taken with Truvada according to the recommendation list. However, why couldn't Isentress be taken with say Viramune and Viread?

I was just thinking ways to minimize NRTi intake.

I am going to talk to my dr. about this, but I know he is just going repeat what he reads and gets recommend to prescribe.

I'm on Isentress/Truvada and I'd love to be able to do away with Truvada but for now it's not feasible. I like to base my decisions on hard data and there just isn't enough.

There have been a few small studies looking at Isentress/Reyataz (as maintenance) that look very promising but it's too soon to commit. It would be great if it works since it would only be two drugs and would avoid NRTIs.

I know of people doing well with Isentress/Epzicom, but again not enough data and this would not avoid NRTIs anyway.

You might want to check clinicaltrials.org and see if there are any Isentress/Reyataz studies (or other studies combining Isentress with other drugs) in your area. The one linked below is a Phase III dosing study so that looks promising.

Yes I agree,,,

Seeing how the medicine effects the virus and the body, it would seem that NNRTi and Isentress would be safer than any NRTi

I mean, what about combination of say Viramune (NNRTi), Reyataz (PI) and Isentress. thats three different class and three different drugs

i am kinda confused by this study,, is this studying Reyataz combo and isentress? or only isentress and reyataz?
