Title: Fingering with cum on fingers
Post by: tonino on December 24, 2012, 03:19:50 pm
Hello!!

I've been reading many of your threads and I can say that I feel more relaxed about my concerns but i'm a very hypochondriac person so obviously still worries me.
So I guess I kind of need a more personal response from you.

Three months ago I met up with a guy online to have sex. He tried to penetrate me with a condom I made sure that he was wearing it. At the end he really couldn't do it because I was too tall and he was shorter and we were standing, then he started fingering me with lube as he was jacking off with his other hand. He came early, according to him inside the condom that he throw away after it, he kept fingering me using a lot of lube and I believe that using the same hand the whole time till I finally came off too. I asked him about his status and he said he tested recently (like a month before) and that it was negative, he also was circumcised and older than me (don't really know if this is important). But you never really know.

I also gave him unprotected oral. This worries me too but not so much, last time I went to get an HIV test the doctor asked me about my sexual life (if I had unprotected anal or vaginal sex) I said I didn't, and she basically laughed at my face when I told her my concerns really were about me just having unprotected oral. She didn't tell me anything about the risk of getting HIV this way and I still got tested (got a negative result) but based on her reaction I think her opinion was that it is "no risk".

My questions are:

1) Is it possible to get HIV if he would have been using his cum as lube to finger me? (He would've been using a lot of cum)

2) Does the virus really "die" when it's in contact with air?
Does it matter if it's too cold or too hot outside or something in between?
Does it matter if it's only been like a second outside of the body, is it really that instantaneously?
When you say that the virus "dies" you mean that even if the cum is infected, once it's been exposed to the air it is basically impossible for it to infect anyone else even thought that the virus still there? (Not sure if i'm making sense in this one)
What you mean by "unprotected anal or vaginal" as the only route for contracting HIV, is that the only way to contract it would be if the penis would be inside and cum or any other fluid it's applied directly in the anus/vagina/urethra. Am I right? So even if  there would be cum on fingers this wouldn't count as a direct contact, right?

3) Should I be worried about oral too?

4) In general, what was my risk?

Sorry if the message it's too long or i'm making too many questions i'm just trying to get an answer for all of my personal concerns.

Thank you so much in advanced, you're doing a great work helpin a lot of people!!

Wish you all a very good day and merry Christmas!!  :)

ps. sorry if something doesn't make sense, english it's not my first language.

Lets make it simple. You did not have an exposure in any of the situations you've questioned.

The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as condoms are always properly used for those activities you will be well protected.

You are worrying needlessly. As Rod has told you, nothing you are reporting of your activities has put you at risk.  Let this go and get on with your life.
