Funniest movies?

I could really use some laughs tonite. Can anyone recommend a hilarious movie I can go rent? (not in the style of "dude, where's my car")

My all time favourite is Life of Brian. The Meaning of Life is a close second. And third goes to Serial Mom - a little dark, not as sick, and helluva funny story :)

  Sordid Lives Olivia, Olivia Newton-John as white a trash barroom singer. Delta Burke is here too. Great Fun
  Serial Mom- June Cleaver with really bad PMS
  Clerks- Low Budget and lots of sick humor
   Being John Malkovitch- The opening scene with the puppet show is worth the price of entry

The Producers gets my vote as well -- Zero Mostel is hysterically funny in almost every scene.

Besides Best in Show there is also Waiting for Guffmann, another Christopher Guest & gang ensemble piece.

I also love Young Frankenstein -- Frau Blucher!

Serial Mom is great but then so many John Waters movies are.  Female Trouble is hilarious for the first 2/3 but gets sorta goofy at the end.  And who remembers Ricki Lake got her start as a celebrity in Hairspray?

Yah, the original of THE PRODUCERS is right up there with the most hilarious greats.

And some of those Cary Grant 1930s comedies -- The Awful Truth, My Favorite Wife, Bringing Up Baby, His Girl Friday -- he is just hilarious. Such great timing and pratfalls. And Barbara Stanwyck & Henry Fonda in THE LADY EVE. He is always tripping and falling and she's hilarious at making it happen and then being so matter of fact about it. Gotta love that and just about anything else Preston Sturges directed.

Among guiltier pleasures is ANIMAL HOUSE -- FOOD FIGHT!

Might have to watch one of those tonight.
