A message from tnboy "Revisited"
« on: December 19, 2006, 02:03:40 pm »

First I want to say I hope everyones Holiday Season is going GREAT!!

As most of you know, I have not been on the forums much lately because my computer was taken out by a storm a few months back. I have since posted when I have had access to a computer which has been very seldom. From my last post I received some Pm's from some of you and I did send back replies at that time. I do not claim to be the brightest when it comes to computer knowledge and it did not dawn on me until today that when I logged on that my replies where most likely not sent because I was on a different computer than the one I originally joined the site on.

I can imagine that it has appeared to those of you that sent messages that I was not responding to your concerns for me. I do appreciate all the Pm's I received and thought I had sent replies but forgot to change my profile so that my messages could be sent. I continue to learn something new everyday. Imagine That!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have been very busy since I last checked in. I have been sending in applications everywhere seeking assistance with the cost of my meds. I have been turned down by every assistance program thus far. It seems the state of TN thinks the small amount of disability I draw each month is more than enough for me to live on and pay for any meds I need.

Besides dealing with assistance issues, the last few weeks have been a real challenge. My ex-wife unexpectedly lost her job and her landlord decided to put her house up for sale. Needless to say, this is a very trying time for her and I have been trying to be as supportive as I can.

Our son and his girlfriend, which have been living in the house with her for the last two years, got married December 2nd. One week later exactly, she left and has not been back since. Last week my son had to go into the hospital for depression and is not doing very well. None of us saw this one coming and are still much in shock.

This is pretty much what has been going on in my world since I last posted. My thoughts are not at their best right now so if this post seems vague I apologize. I just wanted to let those of you who have shown so much concern for me and my situations know what has been going on lately with me.

I do appreciate VERY MUCH the Love and concern that I have been shown by so many of you and will be back as soon as I can.

Love and Peace to All,
Mike

I'm new here, but I sure can relate to my computer giving me grief! Thinking that messages have been sent which haven't from other computers!!

I stumbled on this site accidently, when Oprah had her show about AIDS a few months ago, but then my computer got knocked out of commission for a few months.

I've been positive for at least 20 years (i'm 42). I've been through it all and then some! I look forward to meeting new people on here!! Hearing your stories, concerns, and sharing our lives on this technology called the "internet"!

Hi MIke,
I know your computer access is spotty, so I hope you get the chance to see this. I really hope things settle a bit for you, and you can have a modicum of peace over the holidays. Hope you haven't given up on the PPA Rx program. Love to you, and yours for the holiday.

Hey Mike.  What I would radically suggest, not remembering your entire story, is that you perhaps think about moving out of TN.  It sounds as though all the rugs which would otherwise be under you and your family have been pulled out from under you.  This might (might) be just the nudge you all need to look into even neighboring states which can get you into their healthcare/Ryan White funded programs immediately, and allow your wife to find work.  I can more than appreciate how such a radical concept could be too much to handle at this point, but it might be something to talk through.  Win

Hello Mike...

It is GOOD to hear from you! However, from what you have described, it is a very trying time for you right now in your life. I do admire that you have taken the initiative to support your ex-wife with her situation. A highly admirable characteristic indeed. As for your son, it is truly a shocking experience as well as he is going through the stage of Depression. There has been a lot that has affected him and it has caught up with him.

By you being in the center of it all, continue to reach within you for your strength and courage to maintain and to find workable solutions for the situations at hand. You are in my thoughts as well as my prayers that all of this works out for the good so that the sandstorm can become calm so that the dust can settle. Please do keep in touch. Take care of YOU!
