Hello, on a recent trip to Thailand I ended up at a gogo strip club in Thailand. The girl were not nude. After drinking heavy earlier I had a few shots on alcohol and then things got fuzzy. I vaguely remember chatting with a few people and then felt transported to a table talking with a girl that said ok lets go. I walked out with her and then felt recollected and got a taxi home... Alone. In my hotel room ordered room service and then just blanking out from there and awoke the next morning. I ordered fries and with ketchup but dont remember eating. My worries are could I have been drugged and left with a girl earlier and had sex with no recollection if I was drugged could someone took advantage of mein my hotel room. My ipad password should a .umber of incorrect attempts but I set it earlier that day so many I just keyed it in wrong in the beginning. I just feel as I was drugged as people said I was lovy dovy at the bar which I dont recall and even when drinking heavy I always have a recollection. Would I know if someone took advantage of me. Im a male.

Not sure what to tell you. If you were so drunk you have had a blackout, then it's highly unlikely that you'd be able to perform sexually.

Of course if you think you might have had unprotected vaginal or anal sex, then by all means, test three months after your evening out. But honestly, I wouldn't bother.

The over-indulgence in a foreign country with no buddies to looks after you is distressing, however. All manner of awful things, from robbery to ... well, a lot worse ... could have happened. I think you dodged all manner of bullets this time - some hyperbolic, some not.

Would I know if say someone could have took advantage of me while I was passed out in my hotel room.? I know sounds bizarr. If I was drugged in the bar and luckily made it home maybe I was followed home or maybe the room service person took advantage of my while passed out. I remember bits and pieces of the night like getting taxi home but I dont know how I ended up talking to that girl in the bar and what happened while I was in the room. There were ketchup stains on the bed which made my mind race maybe thery werent ketchup stains and I was taken advantage of as I didnt remember actually eating the fries. Ps nothing was stolen which was a gokd sign

I cannot answer your question. Sometimes time lost is time lost.

If you are uneasy, take an HIV test in three months. I rather doubt anything happened. But if it brings you peace of mind, then by all means test.

Have a total STD panel while you are at it. A sexually active grownup ought to have two a year regardless.

Sometimes you never get those memories back. Something you might have to live with, I suspect.

As Jonathan noted, if you had been drugged (presumably with one of the so-called "rape-drugs"), you would not have been able to perform sexually. If you'd been penetrated anally while passed out, believe me, you'd know about it in the morning. You'd be sore.

Thai bar girls don't need to drug their punters - too many willing men - so why waste money on drugs? Besides, if one had drugged you, it would have been with the intention of robbing you - not fucking you - and you weren't robbed. Your iPad, phone, wallet, passport and anything else valuable would have been gone if that were the case.

Just because you never had an alcoholic black-out before doesn't mean you didn't have one this time. Alcohol measures in Thailand tend to be much bigger than they are in OZ or the UK. You probably had much more alcohol (in a very short space of time) than you realised.

If I were you, I'd put these thoughts of sexual assault out of your mind. It just didn't happen.

As Jonathan also noted, any sexually active adult should be getting a full sexual health check up at least once a year.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!
