Scared of the situation in Greece
« on: March 01, 2020, 08:27:11 am »
It's weird seeing the place I was deployed in as a young soldier be swarmed with people who are used as political tools by Turkey.
Whats even worrying is the panic we already have with the virus and the possible invasion from Turkey (if the immigrants break the border and harm our forces). The European union of course is very slow when it comes to a crisis but fast when it comes to receive money.
It's just a scary thing, because even tourism will be affected (the only thing that keeps us alive) and it will take a huge hit.

Hiya

Sorry to hear that this is on your mind.

There is a whole political and humanitarian reply running through my mind but I'll spare you the details 😉

Anyhow, my only tip, worry only about things within your control but try to ignore for a large part the rest i.e what is not within your control

I guess you are right. So far the borders have been kept closed (meaning they do a great job) without much help from the outside.
