At no time did you have a risk of contracting HIV from masturbation.

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child

No there has not, because HIV is not transmitted in that manner.

Nec,

As a virgin, you have NOT been at risk for hiv infection.

In adults, hiv is transmitted through:

Unprotected anal intercourse.

Unprotected vaginal intercourse.

Sharing drug injecting equipment.

Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is primarily transmitted INSIDE the human body, as in unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse where the virus never leaves the confines of the two bodies.

Once outside the body, small changes in temperature, and pH and moisture levels all quickly damage the virus and render it unable to infect. For this reason, mutual masturbation is NOT a risk as it takes place OUTSIDE the body.

Also, the skin on your body is a very effective barrier against hiv. Touching someone ANYWHERE on their body is NOT a risk. Sexually speaking, ONLY unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse are risks. As you are a virgin, you have NOT been at risk.

For future reference, here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH AS A VIRGIN YOU ABSOLUTELY DO NOT NEED HIV TESTING AT THIS TIME, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

Once you become sexually active and having anal or vaginal intercourse, you should start having regular, routine sexual health check ups. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Nec,

YOU DID NOT HAVE A RISK FOR HIV INFECTION!!!

Masturbation with fluids IS NOT A RISK FOR HIV INFECTION.

Touching an anus with cuts on your fingers IS NOT A RISK FOR HIV INFECTION.

Now stop feeling sorry for yourself and stop threatening suicide. If you continue to feel like killing yourself, go to a hospital and tell the doctors and nurses there how you are feeling so they can put you in a safe place and protect you from yourself.

Honestly, it's really insulting to those of us who are hiv positive when people who haven't even had a risk talk about killing themselves over hiv. If you're not mature enough to deal with having sexual contact with other people, perhaps you should wait until you grow up a bit before you do anything like this again.

What you did wasn't stupid, it's a normal part of growing up, so cut the drama.

All you need to do in future to protect yourself against hiv infection is to use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse. IT REALLY IS THAT SIMPLE!!!!

Again, cut the drama and get on with your life.

Ann

Nec,

I have removed the threads you've been starting in the Spanish Am I Infected? (Estoy Infectado?) forum. You started out in the English forum and that is where you must stay. The answers you got here are not going to be any different in Spanish. YOU HAD NO RISK.

If you wish to post further questions about this NO RISK situation, you must take out a subscription like anyone else.

If you keep posting where you're not supposed to, or if you attempt to create a new account to get around our posting rules, you WILL be permanently banned.

Nec,

Because you decided to further ignore our rules and also ignore my explicit warning about posting where you're not supposed to, you are now permanently banned. (I deleted your newest thread in the Spanish forum.)

If you feel unwell, see a doctor. Whatever is going on has NOTHING to do with hiv.

You didn't have a risk for hiv infection, so get a grip already and get on with your life.
