Title: #BlackLivesMatter
Post by: Almost2late on June 08, 2020, 01:54:15 am
I'm debating on whether to attend the next protest in my city. For the most part, they've been peaceful but they tend to get a bit dangerous later at night. Honestly the only thing thats stopping me is the obvious Covid-19 issue. But I'm pretty sure I'm going to do this.

I was impressed with the mayor of DC's renaming the street #BlackLivesMatter Plaza. I could just imagine what Bonespurs was thinking while cowarding in his bunker.

We're finally seeing people of all persuasions coming together against police brutality on our black brothers and sisters.  And we are also seeing Bunkerboys fascism dragged into to the light once again. Many of us warned that this pos president would do this. And the police are behaving like his Nazi stooges.

It's no secret that he has went after all marginalized people, but this is when he went to far at the wrong time. Enough is enough, this mofo is never going to recover from this one.. and I want to be part of that.

We can no longer look the other way.

In regards to our president I think  James Mattis said it well.

“Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us. We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort. We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership.”

Personally speaking, BLM has been right all along.   The majority feels either threatened or offended by something they do not care to understand.  It's all rather sad.  Their answers of AllLivesMatter or BlueLivesMatter clearly undermines the plight of those who are speaking against the "Go sit in the corner and be quiet" mentality that seems to be the new normal for most.

It was just a few short months ago we had images of people beating each other over the head for toilet paper and now these same people are crying foul against those protesting over another fellow American's rights being obliterated, basically given a death sentence on the street by those who are supposed to protect those rights.

Does anyone remember what took place after Sandy Hook?  When Americans were so afraid our 2nd Amendment rights were in jeopardy simply because Obama stated we needed better gun control.  Where are those people now?  Why are they not standing up for the many faces similar to George Floyd's who's civil rights were trampled on?

I agree, it was well said.. wonder why he and others took so long in denouncing this fascist pig. Where were they when children were dying in cages?

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they stepped up.. finally. Now even the joint chief of staff General Mark Milley has turned on this prick.

I think this will put us at some ease that when the time comes for Bonespurs to step down, HE WILL STEP THE FUCK DOWN.
I always felt that voting and protest were the most patriotic things you could do as an American, not get a hard-on over a flag.

And not only was #BlackLivesMatter right all along, so is the Anti-fascist movement aka: Antifa, which this nazi president wants to label a terrorist organization even though they've killed no one. The real terrorist are on the right, and some are wearing badges.
I can only imagine what it's like driving while black in this country. As it is, most of us feel uneasy when a cop pulls us over. If we did nothing wrong, we shouldn't feel afraid of the people who are paid through our taxes to protect us.. but we do.
Black people have been feeling that terror for decades. I hope this time "change" is for real.

As a parent to a biracial daughter I worry jow safe she is. I worry how safe I am once someone were to find out I am HIV+. I have been approached three times by other white people in an attemp to inform me of our white rights.
I don't agree with the whole nazi or white racist thing. Heck I have HIV so I am sort of ruined in their eyes.
One of the white supremist was a hair dresser. I had to agree so she wouldn't mess up my bangs. I'm never going back to her. Plus I am letting my bangs grow out.
Anyways, I was bullied in school. And Trump is a bully
 I don't like bullies.

Black Lives Matter doesn't change my day to day life. I understand that it's about more than I know. Or want to know. The only reason I do not protest is because my daughter is biracial and she's going to follow me out that door if I do protest.
I'm Caucasian. But I have seen security at an airport follow my daughter for no reason. So I'm kind of stuck in the middle. I don't want to be a traitor or white trash but I don't like to see people harmed either.
