Title: Possible minor penetration, MSM unknown HIV status
Post by: Jonuk82 on December 28, 2013, 11:15:58 am
Hi,

Am a little bit concerned and it may be unneeded worry but I shall explain the situation.

About 4 days ago I engaged in sexual act with another male of unknown status.  The following occurred:
Kissing
Oral sex both of penis and anus
Fingering anus
And mutual masturbation
From reading the forum I assume that above is low risk to negligible risk for HIV transmission (correct me if am wrong).

However am unsure if penetration occurred. I know I took his erect penis and rubbed it down the the crack of my bum and on to my butt hole, the only lube there was was spit.
I have not engaged in anal penetration male to male before and am not fully sure what dipping is? From memory the contact was equal to when you use toilet paper or when you are in the shower cleaning that area. That is the best way to describe it.

In your knowledge would it be safe to assume that if penetration had occurred with only spit as lube I would have felt it and if it not then the next day it would have felt uncomfortable?
About 10 minutes after this I went the toilet and passed a few stools.

My apologies if some of the above appears crude but it is the best way for me to describe it.

I regularly have full std test including HIV blood tests every 6 to 12 months with my last being 3 months ago and this being my first sexual contact since last negative test.

Thanks in advance.
Jon

You did not have a risk in any of the things you are concerned with . HIV is sexually transmitted from unprotected vaginal and anal sex . You would have known if you had been penetrated so you should not worry that rubbing around your anus was a a risk factor, it wasn't  .

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED HIV TESTING AT THIS TIME for this incident , anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than HIV. Some of the other STDs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid HIV infection. It really is that simple!

Thank you for the information, and your response it is greatly appreciated.

And yes I believe you are correct with regards to penetration there would be no: if's, but's or maybe's.

Peace and blessings
